How to Convert Fraction to Decimal

Types of Decimals

Terminating Decimals

Method 1: 2 + (1 ÷ 2) = 2 + 0.5 = 2.5

Long Division Method

For fractions that don't convert easily:

1. Set up division: numerator ÷ denominator
2. Add decimal point and zeros to numerator
3. Divide normally

6 goes into 50: 8 times (48), remainder 2
6 goes into 20: 3 times (18), remainder 2
